Profiles of ICR Professionals
Peter Bishop
Upon returning to his Philadelphia roots in 1995, Mr. Bishop entered the field of real estate at the ground level, initially performing property inspections throughout Philadelphia and its suburbs. He then progressed to performing more complex appraisals before capitalizing on his existing knowledge of construction to form Thoroughbuilt LLP, a contracting concern that has built and renovated homes in Philadelphia and at the Jersey shore. Mr. Bishop subsequently utilized his building experience and knowledge of the Philadelphia housing market to become active in acquiring investment properties in the city. While interacting with real estate agents in the acquisition process, he became disillusioned with the level of service he received from various real estate “professionals” and convinced of the need for a more client-centered brokerage to service the Center City market. His opportunity to address that need arrived when he purchased ICR’s headquarters at 16th and Lombard Streets in 2007. After honing his craft at a national real estate firm, Mr. Bishop teamed with broker Steve Sendzik to open ICR in 2008 to provide the Center City market with the advantages of client-centered, professional fee real estate representation.
A father of a four-year old son, Mr. Bishop has lived within earshot of ICR’s office since 1998 when he and his wife purchased a home in the Rittenhouse neighborhood. Mr. Bishop is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Hartford.
Steve Sendzik
Upon arriving in Philadelphia in 1967 to attend college, Steve quickly developed an affinity for the city that continues to grow. In the interval, he has utilized his master’s degree in business to create, own and manage multiple successful businesses in Philadelphia, including a thirty-agent real estate firm that he has since sold. Prior to passing the torch of ownership of Century 21 Sendzik, Steve routinely led his firm in achieving lofty sales goals that placed it among the leaders in terms of sales volume. In addition to his experience in every facet of real estate brokerage, Steve has personally owned and supervised the construction and renovation of over 150 properties, all within the Philadelphia city limits. This invaluable experience has made him particularly adept at identifying manageable steps sellers can take to maximize the sales prices of their homes. After residing in Center City for many years, Steve now calls the East Falls neighborhood of the city home. Steve attained his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Temple University.
Tony Jordan
Since joining Peter Bishop and Steve Sendzik in 2008 to form ICR, Tony has continued the work he had previously conducted with a national real estate firm of assisting buyers, sellers and investors in the Center City market. Through his experience and his ever-expanding knowledge of the area’s housing market trends, Tony has established himself as a specialist in the market . As a Center City resident with an appetite for discovering all that is happening in Center City, Tony continually informs himself about local happenings via traditional media channels as well as a healthy dose of blogging. As a consequence of “being in the know,” Tony excels at working with buyers who have a desire to collaborate with an informed professional to assist them in identifying their perfect home in the perfect location. Tony’s own search for the perfect home led him to purchase and fully restore a row home in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood. That endeavor has aided him greatly in assisting buyers and sellers in that neighborhood, and throughout the city. Tony received his Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Wesley College.
